    Cool but no heat

Hi all, just installed my new Nest Thermostat, latest generation. My wires were stripped a little and painted before i began, but i tried regardless.

The issue I am seeing is, no heat. Central air works, but when i test the heat - nothing. doesn't turn on.
So, hoping someone can advise on my current configuration. I've tried multiple combinations, no luck.

Here is a pic of my current configuration. My Air/heat is (I think) electric.

Did the heat work with the existing thermostat? Are you sure that there were wires connected to both the RC and RH terminals on the existing thermostat. Do you have a electric meter to measure the voltage on the RH terminal?

Hi, thanks for the response. The heat did work with the previous thermostat.

I can check the voltage, but I'm kind of a newb to such things. Any chance you could direct me on what to check? I have a voltage meter/tester.

I'm sure its a simple thing of putting the wires in the correct location. Just not sure where...

    Thanks for the assistance.
