12 thermostat home electric ceilingheat needing programable thermostats

I have a cottage (1960's) that uses electric in-ceiling heating in all the rooms. The house has 12 thermostats, and I want to replace with smart or programable thermostats. Is there any option for hardwired sensors in some of the rooms or do I have to buy 12 nest or ecobee units? I want to have the heat on more at night while the electricity costs are less. Any advice would be appreciated. Last year we installed new thermostats that are supposed to be programmable and don't work very well so I am looking for ones that are easy to program and possibly talk to each other so they all don't need to be separately programmed. Ideally it would be great if something existed where I could have an ecobee in a few of the main rooms and a hardwired sensor in the other rooms but not sure if that exists. Any advice would help, thanks.

Are the existing thermostats all low voltage 24vac thermostats?
