    lux 1500u

I am trying to install two lux 1500u programmable thermostat in place of two old hoenywell units. First off the wires int eh first one looked to be regular 110 volt wires. One solid core black wire and one solid core white wire, I am going to bring home a meter tonight to check the voltage. The other thermostat has what looks like 24 volt wiring. At this point I decided to install one of the new Lux units and it would never allow me to enter the date/time to set the programs. My questions are, is it possible to have two different wire voltages for two different thermsostats? I only have one burner of course. And why wont this new thermostat allow me to set the date/time to start programming it? I did move the slide to date/time like the instructions tell you but the day of the week never starts flashing.

This thermostat sounds like a line voltage thermostat the lux 1500u cannot be used as a replacement for this thermostat.

Let us know what the readings are.

Do you also have a A/C unit. One of the thermostats could be for a A/C unit.
