If you are having to do that then I would replace the thermostat.

I have mixed feelings about communicating type thermostats. However, I don't feel the 9000 is the correct thermostat for that high end of a system. I would rather see you use a prestige over the...
Try changing the channel that the router broadcasts on. I assume that this is the TH8320WF model?
I'm partial to the honeywell, but for ease of changeout I would go with the NCM 300. Either way would accomplish the same goal.
No, that thermostat will not work with the existing zone control. IF the OP wants to use that particular thermostat then the zone control needs changed to a HZ311 or HZ322. The other option would...
thermostat is correct.
call Honeywell.............
NO, it does not automatically choose the correct program/setup based on wiring. The same wiring could be used for a different type of system. You have a heat pump with aux heat (2H1C). Your aux...
Well that is all wrong based on the old thermostat wiring.
Move Red wire from W1 to Y1
Move White wire from Y1 to W2
Move Blue wire from W2 to *
Thermostat will need reprogrammed also. I can...
Adaptive intelligent recovery will pull the heat on early to meet the setpoint by the set time. It does not discriminate to only use the HP and not the aux heat during this recovery period. If you...
The TH8320 will not keep the aux heat off the way you want it to. How many degrees setback are you doing at night?
I would use a proportional control setting to more closely maintain the setpoint and get fewer temperature swings. I would set it for 6 CPH to start out with.
While it may be possible without the relay..... it is safer (less likely to ruin the zone control) to use a relay setup than not.
That could be a setting in the VP8000 or it could be an outdoor thermostat that is performing the switchover. It all depends upon all the components used on your system.
The IAQ is much better than the 9000 wifi. The IAQ allows you to set a compressor lockout and an aux lockout.
yes, the way you said it that time was correct.....
That would pretty much be it. But I think your HUM wiring is wrong. HUM on the control board of the furnace is 24V hot out when the furnace is heating.
That is likely the best way
I'm not sure what exactly you are asking. Could you rephrase it more clearly?
very simple with the wiring you have present. Just read the whole manual and remember to set it up as a heat pump system with aux heat.
Yes that will do what you want. Do you need to know the temp from the downstairs room? Do you need to the humidity in both locations?
relay 6azu2
no, I have not heard of it having the same issue either. They did not reverse engineer the nest. The nest used many of Honeywell's design and operations techniques that Honeywell has used for years.
try to reset your router, if that does not work then disconnect the thermostat from your wifi and then set it up again.
or EMERGENCY heat?
