Heat Pump - Emergency Heat wiring

I wired my Nest thermostat up and it's been working correctly for a year now, but was thinking that if my heat pump would ever stop working outside, I do not currently have a way to turn on Emergency Heat.

My system is all electric with a heat pump and then the electric heat strips for aux heat when needed.

Attached is my current wiring setup. From what I read, it looks like I need to get a wire to the * connector, but then I am not sure how it would kick on aux heat when needed?

    Any help would be appreciated.

If Nest doesn't see the heat pump it automatically kicks in the AUX heat. So turning the temp down would turn on the heat strips. If you really wanted an emergency setting you could add a wire to the * terminal bridged to the W/Aux.
