I recently updated my HVAC and they installed a Nexia XL824. The problem I'm having is that the thermostat creates a fair amount of heat which throws off the calibration. I know I can adjust the calibration settings but the calibration is different depending on if the ceiling fan is on or not. With the fan on the heat is dissipated and the calibration is only -1, with the ceiling fan off it drops to -5... Is there anyway to use an external temperature sensor that I can place it away from the thermostat or another way to deal with the heat created by the thermostat?
