Lennox Mini-Split Wired Thermostat Conversion to NEST

There's a shielded 5-wire cable that plugs into the Lennox thermostat that controls our mini split heat-pump.

It has 5 wires, labelled A (Brown), B (Red), C (Yellow), D (Black), E (White)... here's a wiring diagram.

Can I open up the cable/separate the wires and swap in a Nest thermostat?

No, that is not compatible with Nest or any other standard thermostat. Contact Lennox as they may have an adapter to provide the connections for a standard RWCYG thermostat.
