    HoneyWell RTH9580W issues

Just joined this forum after a Google search. As I can't find the information anywhere. Hooked up thermostat to an existing Trane Hvac system last November (was cold out!) my old thermostat switched between heat/cool automatically, but had batteries. I had to run a C wire to activate the Honeywell. Programming was no problem and I had no idea till it got warmer it would not switch to heat/cool automatically based on programming. The web site said thermostat does do switching automatically based on wiring. So what do I have to do? the icon for auto system does not show, will it show if wired correct? so what I need is advice, would really appreciate it
    Thanks, in advance, Rick

Auto change over is a setting that needs to be setup in the advanced preferences menu. Go to "MENU" > "Preferences" > "Advanced Preferences"

After you set up the advanced Preferences for auto change over. Go to "System" on the main thermostat display and select "Automatic"
