    iphone/ipad app for rth8580wf problems

    every time i change the temperature up or down and tap submit the thermostat changes the fan setting to ON. Even thought it was set to AUTO before and I did not change the fan setting. I only changed the temp. Any ideas why this is happening? I have to log out and log back in to get the fan setting to display it's true state. then I can change it back to AUTO.. It's becoming a pain...

    Have you tried to cycle the power on the rth8580wf?

    I did recycle the thermostat... I removed it from the wall and changed the battery to a new one at the same time... still doing the exact same thing... every time I change the temperature remotely using the iOS app the fan setting changed to ON without me doing anything. I want it set to auto. I have to log out and then log back in to get the fan status to show the correct current setting which changes to ON. This is driving me crazy!!!

    If you make the same adjustment using a computer do get the same result?

    it happens when I connect on the laptop also, so it's not specific to the ios app i guess... what could be causing this?

    Sounds like it is time to call Honeywell and ask them. I have not had that problem or heard of it before.
