    Replaced Lennox 6 wire with a Honeywell RTH9580 Wi-Fi

I replaced a Lennox 6 wire thermostat with a Honeywell RTH9580 Wi-Fi.....everything hooked up and the unit is on and active. Only problem is, that I tried to run the A/C, and warm air comes out. There does not seem to be a way to cool...could that be because the system needs a freon charge ? or could there possibly be another issue I should check out ? Thanks for your help....

Was your A/C working properly when the Lennox was installed? Do you know if your system is a heat pump?

In response, yes, my A/C was working with the Lennox thermostat, not the COLDEST, but when set for A/C, you could feel cool air coming out of the ductwork. Now, when I set for cool air, I feel warm air coming out....should I check all the wires ? Or one certain wire ? Or do you think it is an issue with the system needing a charge ? I am thinking of having the entire unit replaced next year.....
My system is NOT a heat pump.
    Thank you.

YES, the condenser is running when I turn the unit on asking for Cooling.....So I am assuming the unit needs a charge ? I also felt the copper tubing coming into the unit, and it felt warm. I thought it may have been whichever wire controls the cooling (do you know what label that would be ?) but now it seems that it might need freon, or whatever refrigerant it uses......
